GoPro Webcam Helper

Simple poc to make it easier to change modes on the GoPro when using it in WebCam mode.

Install

Download and unzip all the files Then just run GoPro Webcam Beta helper.exe

Rel 0.3, simple POC with some additional features Download

Releases

  • Rel 0.1 Basic POC with FOV modes
  • Rel 0.2 New features: Start/Stop, Resolution, Power off, AutoDetect GoPro
  • Rel 0.3 Changed Fov setting endpoint to use the same as offical software

Option to make this a top most window

Not really an issue but a question... I’ve got some code laying around from another project that can make this window stay top most (I.e. always in the foreground). I’m happy to add it as an option if folks think it would be useful.

So a few notes,

to turn off

/gp/gpControl/command/system/sleep
is the endpoint to turn off.

set the res

/gp/gpWebcam/START?res=1080
is how to set the res from 1080 or 720

the status and settings information

/gp/gpControl/status
key status[30] is the name
key status[70] is battery percentage
key settings[43] is to see what the current state of the lens is
