imagecaptionhoveranimation's Issues

Use figure and figcaption

I saw you created an empty div, i think it would be better if you used figure and figcaption this way you can edit, and use css on it easily.

[enhancement] Add missing bower.json.

Hey, maintainer(s) of hasinhayder/ImageCaptionHoverAnimation!

We at VersionEye are working hard to keep up the quality of the bower's registry.

We just finished our initial analysis of the quality of the Bower.io registry:

7530 - registered packages, 224 of them doesnt exists anymore;

We analysed 7306 existing packages and 1070 of them don't have bower.json on the master branch ( that's where a Bower client pulls a data ).

Sadly, your library hasinhayder/ImageCaptionHoverAnimation is one of them.

Can you spare 15 minutes to help us to make Bower better?

Just add a new file bower.json and change attributes.

{
  "name": "hasinhayder/ImageCaptionHoverAnimation",
  "version": "1.0.0",
  "main": "path/to/main.css",
  "description": "please add it",
  "license": "Eclipse",
  "ignore": [
    ".jshintrc",
    "**/*.txt"
  ],
  "dependencies": {
    "<dependency_name>": "<semantic_version>",
    "<dependency_name>": "<Local_folder>",
    "<dependency_name>": "<package>"
  },
  "devDependencies": {
    "<test-framework-name>": "<version>"
  }
}

Read more about bower.json on the official spefication and nodejs semver library has great examples of proper versioning.

NB! Please validate your bower.json with jsonlint before commiting your updates.

Thank you!

Not responsive

Could you check the possibility of making this code responsive? For images have a fixed value and are bad for responsiveness.

Abstract global css

Thanks for this code, I love these effects, very useful.

I understand why the styles are in the head of the documents, but in my fork I've re-factored a little by splitting the class names
ul.caption-style-n
etc
into
.captioned
and
.style-n
and abstracted the global css out to an external stylesheet.

I'm doing this for my own sake. Opening this just in case it's of any use.

( ps. also I changed the fonts and removed the og metadata in my previous commit, again just for myself :) )

2 nasty effects of FF And IE, not in Chrome

Thanks for these effects. Just to report an issue on example 4. In chrome it works fine but in Firefox and Explorer:

  • on mouse over, caption seems to appear spontaneously rather than with the transition aligned with the image zoom
  • on mouse out, there is an small flickering showing the caption for an instant after it was removed

Yo can test yourself by opening http://hasinhayder.github.io/ImageCaptionHoverAnimation/index4.html with FF or IE. These 2 nasty effects does not happen if you open with chrome.

By the way, any easy solution to perform manual scrolling with CSS or a minimum JS?

Regards
