If one could click on a verse number to show/hide it, one could have a smaller viewport and updates could be done quicker. Now, the interface tends to get slow for long texts.
When a verse consists of a single clause, this is shown as 8, while typically we use 8a.
It would be nice to get a plain TeX output instead of having to download a zip.
Use web storage to store the translation status. This should be indexed by passage, and there should be a dropdown in the header with the available passages.
It should be possible to do the following:
a the people
b that was in Egypt
a ÷ was suppressed
Where clause numbering goes back to to a
and the diacritical sign ÷ is added.
A use case is Ex. 3:5de.
Would be nice to be able to highlight all occurrences of a word in the text. Even better would be if this would automatically recognise and strip prefixes, suffixes, vowels, dageshes and diacritical signs such that in Gn. 1:1-2 for example, הָאָֽרֶץ and וְהָאָ֗רֶץ are grouped together.
When switching tabs with Ctrl Tab, the indentation level is increased. This should not happen.
Currently, it is only possible to colour whole words. When the subject is hidden in the verb, we would want to colour the pre/suffix differently.
It would be nice if there was a possibility to translate the text when it is formatted in clauses:
expex
?)expex
)This probably means that the export interface has to be redone. Perhaps make one export button, and then allow the user to choose things.
Things to think about for in the future:
At the moment, we only split the text on spaces, but we should also split on ־ and ׃ and possibly more signs.
Furthermore, some things should not be considered a word:
And then ketiv-qere should be handled better, e.g. (Ps. 119:161) [וּמִדְּבָרֶיךָ כ] (וּ֝מִדְּבָרְךָ֗ ק) breaks as four words, of which ] and ) are part. The characters [, ], (, ) and כ and ק in this context should not be considered part of a word.
