Vault fails to install with Cabal 1.18.0.1 about vault HOT 4 CLOSED

I ran into this error pulling from Hackage but when I cloned the master repo it compiled fine.

~/code/vault $ cabal --version
cabal-install version 1.18.0.1
using version 1.18.0 of the Cabal library

~/code/vault $ cabal install
...
