Please release a new version about viewnior HOT 7 CLOSED

Hey guys! I am doing a round of PR review and merging, as well as small improvements. They will be released as 1.8, sometime in June most probably.
Fun fact, it is 3 years to date since the last Viewnior release 😅

I ask that if you release a new version, that you also fix the permissions in the source.

In the past versions, you have files as executable, that should be just 0644.

It looks like this project is really in need of more maintainers. @hellosiyan has been very inactive on Github in the last year and there are some quality PRs yet to be merged in to master.

I've ended up switching to Eye of Gnome, because I needed something similar to #40, and didn't want to mess about with manually building from source, but I would like to come back to Viewnior if activity picks up again.

Hi. Great program, but please release 1.7 for Ubuntu (specifically 20.04). It's been a few years, and apparently some features I've been waiting for, like a status bar, have been added. But there is no way to get 1.7, so it would be much appreciated. Cheers.

I'm not sure but it appears this might be abandoned. Last commit November 2018.
