How can I use custom images

Hey,

the title describes the problem perfect: I don't't know how I use custom images. I must enter the key, but what is 'key'?

[suggestion] Customize working on message

There should be an option where you can change what the working on message says. Even better, be able to set it for certain files.

The reason for this is because FileZilla's View/Edit will put it in an fz-temp folder, and then that is what is displayed as the working on.

Latest Atom broke rich presence for me

After updating to atom 1.26.0 discord wont show any details. Only Playing Atom Editor and the rich presence file icon.. bot nothing else anymore.

I am using Arch linux with the atom-editor-bin version.

RAM Increasing over time

Hello there,
Recently I have been taking usage of this wonderful package to show my friends what I do, however, there has been some issues with RAM growth, I made a GIF to showcase my issue.

Enabled Package

Image1

Disabled Package

Image2

As shown from the two gifs provided above, when the package is enabled, it will grow the RAM usage.
If it helps to tell, the package doesn't work with Discord RPC at all, so I believe it is trying to use RPC but can't seem to do so.

Make choosable icon

I found that custom icon is available by using Data URI.
Letting users choose icon would be awesome.

Discord showing non-rich-presenced "Atom Editor" as game even after closing Atom

So, when having Atom open, everything works fine and Discord shows the rich presence perfectly (It looks pretty awesome, by the way, thanks for making this :D)
But once Atom is closed, and atom-discord updates, Discord shows "playing Atom Editor", with no rich presence, even though I'm not having Atom open.
Sometimes, after having closed Atom, there's a brief moment Discord shows that I'm not playing anything at the moment (like it should), but then it comes back with no rich presence, like described above.
I should also add that after restarting Discord, everything is normal again (until I start Atom again but I'm repeating myself)

Here are some pics:

Eh, don't worry about my profile picture by the way, everything's fine

[improvement] Atom teletype support

When using teletype, instead of it saying "working on " it would be cool if it could say "working on with 3 collaborators" or something like that.

energy impact ⚑️

I just spent about an hour diagnosing my Atom's high energy consumption and narrowed it down to this package. Discord was not open when I ran these tests.

I've got about 40 community packages combined. The total energy consumption saved when I disabled this package was about 2700% more efficient with atom-discord disabled.

RAM usage

Description

Few seconds after launching the editor, this package makes Atom slowly increasing used RAM until it's consuming about 2,1 GB of memory - while in my case, normally, Atom uses around 700 MB.
This makes whole editor either work amazingly slow, or even stuck at all...

Hide Rich Presence After Inactivity

This is a good plugin, but I want an option in the settings to hide the rich presence after a defined amount of inactivity. I want that because I often leave Atom open (and forget it's open), so it could be saying I'm playing Atom Editor for hours.

"Atom Editor" is all that shows?

Hello! I am on MacOS and I wanted to use this package so people would stop getting on my case for replying only so slowly :) Unfortunately, this does not seem to work... My suspicion is that "Custom Client ID" is not set properly. I also get empty log files...?

[email protected] /V/S/A/atom-discord $ wc log.txt
       2 0 2 log.txt

Discord shows "Atom Editor" properly, but it doe snot seem to get the information to show stuff like "Working on %project%".

How can I get the Client ID of my instance so I can verify that the default actually matches?

What have I done?

I have followed the guide provided in the readme.md. I have tried all 3 metodes of installing atom-discord, via the in atom package manager, via terminal with apm and I've installed it via source, none have worked.

I did noticed however everytime i close atom, discord doesn't find it again. As it is launced with a new PID. an example. (You can find this when hovering over the "last played 22 minutes ago" in game activity section)

First time adding Atom to the game activity
/SNAP/ATOM/202/USR/SHARE/ATOM/ATOM --EXECUTED-FROM=/HOME/APOLLO --PID=10656

After rebooting Atom and adding it again
/SNAP/ATOM/202/USR/SHARE/ATOM/ATOM --EXECUTED-FROM=/HOME/APOLLO --PID=14133

"APOLLO" here being my pc username.

I can't install it from amp

Hi, when I installed atom-discord I had this issue.

Failed to install atom-discord because Git was not found.

The atom-discord package has module dependencies that cannot be installed without Git.

You need to install Git and add it to your path environment variable in order to install this package.

You can install Git by downloading, installing, and launching GitHub for Windows: https://windows.github.com

Run apm -v after installing Git to see what version has been detected.

But I have Git and GitHub desktop installed.

Says "Idle" if I turn off file names

If I turn off the file name option, in the description atom-discord puts "Idle", but I am not idle.

I think putting the text with the file type e.g. "Editing a Python file." would be more logical and understandable for others if file names are turned off.

Btw awesome package, got super hyped when I saw it at someone else on a server :D

Object.basename is deprecated.

Reported from the atom deprecated calls panel, i didn't have this error before the last update:

Atom-Discord detects Atom's background process and keeps the RichPresence

Hey there! First of all, this is a super cool package for Atom
But... There's a bug, We know that when we're closing Atom there's a background process that runs for Updates and Booting the software faster. Atom-Discord detects those and thinks I'm still inside Atom, so the RichPresence will never get off my profile

Custom text not displaying correctly

The custom text are not displaying correctly in Discord.
As example: Memeing with %fileName% displays as

image

Step to reproduce

  1. Go to atom-discord settings
  2. Change the Text to "Custom"
  3. Put custom text in the "Custom" Textbox. Eg: Memeing with %fileName%
  4. Wait for 15 seconds

It works great, but if you open a new window then try to go back to the old window, it will not pick up the file in the old window. (I waited 5 minutes)
