Kind of a lame answer, but: master is kept stable, feature development is slow, and right now there are no known bugs, so "Download Zip" is pretty much a current release ^_^;

Sounds like a perfect time for you to make a tag from master and call that a new stable release.
I'm a developer with the MacPorts package management system, and we have a package for HexFiend 2.1.2, and our usual policy is to update packages to stable versions.

Heh. Well, the real reason was that I don't consider myself a project owner and wouldn't want to make releases on anyones behalf, but on second thought I highly doubt anyone would get offended.
Give me a minute to bump some numbers & figure out how to Github release.

Alrighty, tagged 4ba9290 a release. If I twisted the Xcode knobs right it should work on 10.7 up, so that'll be nice for MacPorts.
