Selection behavior quirk about hexfiend HOT 3 CLOSED

Should be fixed in 543fa25. When the moveUpAndModifySelection was triggered, it didn't actually change the selection, but the selection anchor value changed, and so that caused the the weirdness you saw when shift-selecting. I fixed it by only changing the selection anchor if the actual selection really changed.

Also, I think I've triggered it without using shift-up-delete, but I can't reproduce that.

I am 50% sure I got it to happen when trying to reproduce #67, but I may have just accidentally released shift... :|

This bug will possibly be suppressed once 10.12 lands with the fix for the buggy shift-up-delete,

This actually still happens still in 10.12 in Hex Fiend it seems. The fix seems to have just made the 7F characters stop generating everywhere in the OS.

Also, it appears that this is what powers the "Open As > Hex" in Xcode (cool!) on my system and the hex editor in that suffers the same crashes/hangs/introspection feature there too with HF-prefixed classes in the logs. So I've reported that to them. CrashWrangler classifies the crash reports as "exploitable" (obviously, this needs an interactive user) - but maybe there is still hope anything in the OS that needs repair might get looked at after I submit a report to them in a few minutes.
