Information Visualisation Project

VUB 2020 Information Visualisation course project.

! The data used in this project is retrieved from NHTSA

Pandas data analysis library is used to preprocess data.

Plotly Dash python framework is used to build web application.

Requirements

For requirements please check the requirements.txt file.

How to run the project

It is recommended to run the application in a dedicated virtual environment.

  • create a new virtual env in the project folder: python3 -m venv venv
  • activate virtual environment: . venv/bin/activate
  • install required python libraries: pip install -r requirements.txt
  • extract data from data.zip
  • run the app: python3 app.py
