Having a photo album of custom-made chord/scale diagrams on your smartphone to swiftly swipe through sounds like a neat idea to me. This app currently is fully-functional on touch devices, but give it a once-over explicitly to improve this experience.

Not that there's all that much this can do, but clue the user in that they can click once to add a note, again to highlight that note, and once more to clear the note. That is, they need not clear all notes if they make a mistake/change.

Leave some room at the top of the diagram to add open circles to indicate a string played open.

Restrictions of HTML download attribute mean that the diagram is downloaded automatically to default location without giving the user a choice of a different name or location. First step would be to investigate plugins that could aid this process, allow the user to at least get a download prompt. Greater refinement would be if the user could add text to the diagram itself, which could be added to the png file and automatically update the filename when prompted to save.
