Add support for Redis
Using coreOS 494 (panamax) Docker 1.3.2
When I pull your image
docker pull hwuethrich/bamboo-server:latest
I get the following error
Pulling repository hwuethrich/bamboo-server
25e33a769d1a: Error pulling image (latest) from hwuethrich/bamboo-server, ApplyLayer exit status 1 exec: "xz": executable file not found in $PATH

2015/01/26 15:15:50 Error pulling image (latest) from hwuethrich/bamboo-server, ApplyLayer exit status 1 exec: "xz": executable file not found in $PATH
xz is available on the host and other images download without an issue (and I've tested on older version of CoreOS it works without an issue)
Maybe it's just a question of rebuilding the image (10 month old)
Thanks for some great containers! Would you be willing to change your bamboo-agent to something like bamboo-ruby-agent? I'd like to send some pull requests for more agent types where I could just clone the ruby agent. Specifically one for python, perl, and php. Thoughts?
Currently the base
image contains supervisord. For images with a single process (like bamboo-server
) this is not necessary. Therefore it would be better to extract supervisor into it's own image.
https://github.com/srid/discourse-docker uses a Makefile to build/push/pull the images and I like this idea! :)
I would like to migrate the existing build scripts to a Makefile.
Create user bamboo
in Dockerfile and use that.
Because the bamboo-ruby(-extra)
images are not really limited to running Ruby projects, they could be merged into a single bamboo-agent
image.
In another step I'd like to add support for more languages and frameworks.
Dynamically configure Bamboo server to use PostgreSQL from a linked container: moby/moby#1907
Instead of using the BAMBOO_SERVER
environment variable, it would be nice to use the new linking feature: moby/moby#1907
In the /start/bamboo-agent
script we could generate BAMBOO_SERVER
with variables provided by the link.
I get the following error:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
uuid-dev : Depends: libc6-dev but it is not going to be installed or
libc-dev
Depends: libuuid1 (= 2.20.1-1ubuntu3) but 2.20.1-5.1ubuntu20.3 is to be installed
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
INFO[0003] The command [/bin/sh -c /tmp/install/all.sh && rm -rf /tmp/install] returned a non-zero code: 100
I hope to build the image since I want to add 'docker' to the agent.
Install and configure mysql server on the Bamboo agent.
Hi Hannes,
first of all thanks for your effort to create the image.
What is the reason to download and extract Bamboo each time I start the container?
Wouldn't it make sense to move this step to the Dockerfile?
This would result in improved startup time and I could specify the Bamboo version like this:
hwuethrich/bamboo-server:5.7.2
