Nice add-on to preserve data columns.
During testing it seems the field settings are not coming thru.
(wygwam throws a PHP error that $settings['config'] is an undefined index)
On a regular field, the following extra items are in the settings array.

  'dst_enabled' => boolean false
  'config' => string '1' (length=1)
  'defer' => string 'n' (length=1)
  'field_show_smileys' => string 'n' (length=1)
  'field_show_glossary' => string 'n' (length=1)
  'field_show_spellcheck' => string 'n' (length=1)
  'field_show_formatting_btns' => string 'n' (length=1)
  'field_show_file_selector' => string 'n' (length=1)
  'field_show_writemode' => string 'n' (length=1)

I just tried assigning a text input and a textarea to the field_ids array but when i got the a publish page I get the following errors: http://cl.ly/image/083i081V3j28

I have structure installed if that helps.
