swiss's Introduction

#Swiss

This is Swiss bracket calculator. It's still not 100% functional yet, and I should have implement a Player class instead of having some ridiculous parallel arrays. Oh well, that'll work in version 2!

This is also going to be a browser app, because Web programming is just so much better.

Features:

  • Supports any size bracket
  • Fully automated bracket
  • Can split into Top 4/8/16/etc, will make a recommendation when you should
  • Runs in any browser
  • Allows editing at any point of the tournament

swiss's Issues

Port to JavaScript browser-app

Mainly because not everyone has Java installed, but everyone has JavaScript. EVERYONE.

Also you can use something like jQuery's draggable to rearrange stuff.

In-Bracket Editing

Find a way to make the bracket editable both after creation and during gameplay. At least up to one round ago.

Angular app

This would work great as a simple single-page web-app powered by Angular and jQuery.

Undiagnosed Bug

During testing, no bugs were found. However, during its inaugural use at a MtG tournament, it of course hit some sort of snag.

Massive bugtesting/updates to come.

Player class

Instead of using a whole pile of parallel arrays, create a Player class, and instantiate for each player.
