The underlying Simile timeline widget fails for large numbers of simultaneous entries. Failure is silent. A solution would add a vertical scrollbar to the detail section of the widget. The detail section handles about 12 entries simultaneously and the overview section handles 20 or so.

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot call method 'year' of null

It seems to be in the timelinescript.js, we are probably passing null start or end dates.

Since beautification the checkboxes are broken

Just chatted to a friend who'd used (and been a bit perplexed by) the Timeline tool. He suggested maybe using Timeline.js instead of whatever plugin it's currently using:

It's totally obvious to me which columns contain dates. Can't the tool work it out and either pick one, or show me a much smaller list in the dropdown menu?

"Make a timeline" is a bit dull. Pretty much all ScraperWiki tools "make" something.

How about "View on a timeline" or "View as a timeline", to parallel with the "View as a table" tool.

I tried using the timeline on my Zoopla data using the first_pubished field as the start date. Typically all of the houses will have a listing date within a few months of each other.

It's impossible to see any difference between them in the timeline.

Using it with the Twitter search tool...

I'm choosing "tweets" as the source, but then the choice for "title" is only id/current_status (i.e. the columns from the other table, "__status")

By convention, they don't contain user-centric data.
