Amethyst appears broken in Mavericks about amethyst HOT 11 CLOSED

You may need to restart the app for it to start working once you've given it accessibility permissions.

I have restarted and rebooted several times, to no avail. I also reinstalled amethyst through brew cask. It runs without error, and the icon shows up in the toolbar, but it simply does not rearrange the windows any more.

That doesn't sound good. I'll install the release version of Mavericks and see if I can reproduce.

For me Amethyst seems to be not managing firefox. However chrome and iterm are being managed fine.

Inoperable for me on Mavericks. The screenshot in README needs updating as well. Enabling Accessibility for apps is now done under Security -> Privacy -> Accessibility.

After a reboot I'm now getting no functionality.

Is there a way to access logs for debugging?

Unfortunately I've been kind of lax about putting in any debug mode into the release version of the app. The best way to debug is still running the app directly from Xcode.

Okay, I've done some digging and I've tracked this down to a problem with spaces on Mavericks. The structure of the defaults dictionary changed and it looks like we're sometimes not able to determine an identifier for the current space, in which case Amethyst just craps out. Working on a fix for it now.

@leonardt Would you mind building from master and confirming that this fixes the issues you've been having?

It's working for me, but I had to disable and reenable Amethyst's permission in the accessibility menu. I'm not sure what order it has to happen in, but I closed amethyst, disabled the permissions, opened amethyst, enabled the permission, opened and closed amethyst and it's working normally now, including after restarts.

However, it's still not managing firefox, this could be related to fjolnir/xnomad#28

Edit: confirmed, firefox started before Amethyst results in Amethyst managing firefox properly
