swipe's Introduction

SWipe is an application for reading magnetic stripe cards over an audio port.

Requirements:
 - A hardware audio dongle to read the cards, such as those provided by Square
   for their payment service.
 - Qt 4.6 or later (including Qt Multimedia plugin)

It has been confirmed to run on Linux, Windows and OS X.

To build on the terminal, simply run:
qmake && make

You may also open the project file in Qt Creator to build.

Running Swipe

Hi,

I have clone this into my desktop, and I am not sure how I can run the script from git shell. I do have the square-reader. Do I need to install any-other things?

Thanks!

swipes do not continue reading after initial start & swipe

OSX 10.6.4, Nov 7 build:

After launching the app, clicking start button, and getting one swipe read (successful or not), subsequent swipes do not register. seems like app is not ready to accept another swipe after the first one, not displaying, or something similar.

After first swipe, clicking stop, and start again, SWipe.app will allow any number of swipes to happen and be displayed.
