android-songbook's Issues

Last version adds a lot of AntiFeatures

Just saw v1.18.1 popping up with a bunch of trackers, almost doubling the size of the APK (compared to v1.14.0). Just wondering if that's an accident: What for does a Songbook app need Cloud messaging? I guess integrating FCM is also the reason that Firebase Analytics sneaked in.

Would you reconsider that move – or at least remove Firebase Analytics? Thanks in advance!

version.properties not found

Hi,

Being a newbie in Android and searching for a songbook, I found yours on Github.
When opening your project under Android Studio 2.1.3 (with Gradle 2.14.1), I have the following error :

Error:(32, 0) Could not read version.properties!
Open File

Where does it come from ?
Apparently, there is no "version.properties" file under the android-songbook-master file, along with the build.gradle
Is it normal ?

Thank you for your help.

[B7] translates to Bb7

Thank you for this app, I am trying to use it and put some of my own custom songs in it. When I use a [B7] chord and ´detect chords´ followed by ´validate´ my [B7] chords are either not recognized or translated to Bb7 chord.

Further, not an issue but a request, could you incorporate a function to set the scroll speed (and start) per song?

auto-play feature request

love this app, great stuff, one of the best out there!.

FEATURE REQUEST:
would be nice to have toggleable auto-play feature whereby at the end of a song, it auto-plays (while still auto-scrolling) to the next song in a setlist (or group of songs), as you already have with a swipe-right gesture.

Alternative download source

Hi and first thanks for providing your app for free!

Would you consider also providing the APK in a place other than Google Play – for those unable to use the latter, or avoiding it for privacy reasons? Options for that would include getting it listed at F-Droid, or simply attaching it to your releases/ as many other projects do.

If you do consider that, I gladly assist with further steps if needed.

Thanks in advance!

Possibilities in chords

Hi,

This is not an issue but rather a simple question and some comments.
I wonder if it is possible to manage such specific chords in your app :

Dm7 G7 Cm F#dim7

I played the guitar a few years ago with a teacher who taught me to play with music sheets then, quickly, with simple chords.
I guess such chords as G7, Dm7, ... are too difficult to manage and that is why you mentioned in your ChordsTransposer.java "only" a few of them.
Still, I want to congratulate you for this nice app.
I am trying to learn how to develop with Android a songbook and I began searching for Phonegap books.
Then I found your app on Google play and it saved my day !
Just to know, why did you choose to develop under the native Android SDK rather than with a framework ?

Thank you.

Chords are misaligned

Hello,
first of all thank you for the nice app and all the work you put into it!

I have noticed, that sometimes the chords are misaligned even though they are specified at certain locations within the text. For example this:

[C] Shall [Em] I [Am] stay, would it [F] be [C] a [G] sin?
If [F] I [G] can't [Am] help [F] falling in [C] love [G] with [C] you

Is displayed as
image

Towards the ends of the line the cords are displayed way too far to the right, even though there would be plenty of space for them to be at the correct locations. Not really sure why it would wrap the you into the next line either.
