Currently if the user is navigating around the app, when the page is refreshed, they are routed back to the root / route and must navigate back to their previous destination.

One solution would be to listen to history changes and persist the destination route in local storage. Then, when the page is refreshed, we fetch that information from local storage and navigate the app to that route.

Currently there is no messaging to alert the user that a particular API request was not successful.

It would be better if there was some flash messaging (akin to what Rails provides out of the box) that could provide a helpful error (or success) message to the user when a certain action has succeeded or failed.

Just to remind me to add this to the documentation as soon as I confirm it will be enough to make my local environment works.

Env vars:

API_BASE_URL: 'http://localhost:3500/api/v1'
COOKIE_NAME: '_event_point_session'

Note: COOKIE_NAME is optional

Currently all scheduled events are visible.

For a better UX, it might be nice to allow the user to filter the scheduled events view, e.g. to show upcoming, past, and all events, respectively.
