Have you tried to install from the feature-dplyr-backend branch? This should treat DATETIME/DATE and BIT types correctly.
from rsqlserver.
@imanuelcostigan Thanks for your reply.
Hmm, I tried, the type of datetime
can be successfully identified as POSIXct
, now.
However, the bit
type column's value will be all NA
. And for date
type, it'd still be transformed to char
. Below is the detail:
The type in my database
The type that returned
my session info

from rsqlserver.
By the way, I installed your package like this:
devtools::install_github("imanuelcostigan/RSQLServer", ref = "feature-dplyr-backend", dependencies = FALSE)
I think it's the correct way to install the branch, right?
from rsqlserver.
Can you please debug jdbcToRType
and report the value of match(type, mapping, 1)
toward the end of the function for the columns being interpreted incorrectly?
from rsqlserver.
Sorry for the late reply. I use the latest version of the pkg but still get the NA value.
I will agree with @dgrtwo's solution. Anything else that I can help?
