Login failure about imapsync HOT 4 CLOSED

I've used this tool previously and found it to be quiet successful I'm now using it for a new project, but having difficulties with login!

--tls1 --host1 hostdomainnet --user1="user@domaincom" ---authuser1 "adminuser"
--------------------------------------------------------^^^

Not --- but -- like:

--authuser1 "adminuser"

Try with --debugimap1 to see what happened.

I'm sorry, thats an unhelpful copy + paste on my part. I did primarily try using --authuser1 "admin", but I had tried to use the --user1="user*admin" from the Dovecot FAQ page

Which syntax should I be using for connecting to a Dovecot server?

PS - this isn't a show stopper for me. The user base is not large (around 5) so I can reset everyone's password and do the migration one user at a time if need be.

It doesn't look like an unhelpful copy + paste.
I see
Host1: will try to use LOGIN authentication on host1
Host2: will try to use PLAIN authentication on host2

It should be
Host1: will try to use PLAIN authentication on host1

Show the log file.
