How to contribute

Getting the project

To contribute to this project, first you need to get it. To do so, perform the following commands:

git clone https://github.com/bruno02221/open-meals.git
cd open-meals
npm install

Running local server

To start a local development server with hot-reload capability, run:

npm run dev

This will run a local server with hot-reload capabilities.

Running unit tests

To run tests:

npm run test

To watch tests:

npm run test:watch

Building

To build the production ready product, run:

npm build

This command will generate the production ready bundled files in the dist folder.

Fix MealScreen test

In the test renders related meals, change the fetchRelatedMeals property by api mocking.

Fix MealScreen

Make MealScreen a functional 'dumb' component. It should call the api.fetchRelatedMeals inside the component function body.

Add jest shield (badge)

In the MealPreview back side, indicate the loading status

Use some abstraction for Browse categories and areas

Use some abstract component up in the tree of the BrowseArea and BrowseCategory pages.

Fix API structure

Back the API structure to a simpler approach using withApi, it's no longer necessary to worry about the mocking in the tests, because that was solved in another approach.
