I recently rebuilt my rancid server using the latest master source version 3.10.99.

After building this version into separate path and copying over the hiveos.pm and ahlogin files, and modifying the rancid.types.base to include the AeroHive statments, running against some AeroHive devices I received this error:

Trying to get all of the configs.
loadtype: loading hiveos failed: rancid version 3.9 required--this is only version 3.10.99 at /usr/local/rancid/lib/rancid/hiveos.pm line 81.
BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at /usr/local/rancid/lib/rancid/hiveos.pm line 81.
Compilation failed in require at /usr/local/rancid/lib/rancid/rancid.pm line 279.

I was able to work around this error by modifying the line 81 in the file /usr/local/rancid/lib/rancid/hiveos.pm and adjusting it as shown below - the first line is before my edit and the second is after:

#use rancid 3.9;
use rancid 3.10.99;

Now rancid-run works successfully against my AeroHive devices.
