1.0.3 annotation not showing up in panel properly about cellxgene_vip HOT 3 CLOSED

Re-collecting annotations by clicking the "Refresh" button or a tab in VIP should be easier to implement.

After several trials from different servers and conda envs, finally found the problem was due to that I clicked on the VIP too early (while all annotations are still being loaded). Once wait till all annotations are loaded in the page, THEN start VIP, all annotations showed up nicely.

I would recommend disable the VIP before all annotations are fully loaded to make sure it is working properly. Or add function to re-collect annotations by clicking the "Refresh" button in VIP.

all category selection boxes or dropdowns are decoupled with refresh and only initialize once to avoid loosing user checked box or selected items.

In v1.0.5, I propose that the initialization will be completed once the number of categories in the window.store are not increasing in 0.5 second interval.
