There is a specific order of the get and set commands. This order should be tested to be accurate.

An FMI Scalar Variable (SV) is dependant if

SVs that are external destination ||
SVs that are internal destination 

Where external destination means that the given SV has an external source,
internal destination means that the given SV has an internal source

An FMI scalar variable is independant if:

causality != Calculated Parameter &&  
   ((causality == output && initial==exact) || 
   causality == parameter && initial != calculated)```
