i want to add the config file but i am not sure how, i could be stupid but i cant find a config file in the games config file.
As the title suggests, there should be a separate list that allows you to allow and/or disallow certain pokemon from being able to fly or swim.
There are several pokemon that can fly or swim, that are not flying or water types, and vice versa. For example:
Gyarados and Dodrio are flying-types that should be rideable based on their size, but should not be able to fly.
The inverse is a little less common, but Latios/Latias come to mind as fliers that are not actually flying types.
The option for water would be nice to have as well, especially considering the crazy amounts of non-water types that learn surf in the games. Might not make the most sense, but the option would be nice.
Try removing the config file (cobblemounts.toml) and restarting to regenerate it. Yes, this applies if you're installing the mod anew, its possible a modpack installed it and so the config is still the one from 1.2.0.
People have reported doing this and then saying that "now its too slow". They almost always follow up with "oh yeah, levels exist". Keep this in mind before reporting a bug about slowness.
All new issues about Pokemon moving too fast will be redirected to this one.
Hi, I'm asking if this could be done due to the fact that mounts enable players to pretty much cheese everything, would you please add a world blacklist?
I was wondering if it would be possible to back port this to 1.19.2 with cobblemon 1.3
For some reason reducing the speed cap does not influence the walking speed of the pokemon. Making it zoom through the ground at high lvls
Given 1.4 has been about medicine and healing, and also given that the ability to ride and fly and swim with your team of pokemon is a pretty powerful ability, I think it'd be good if there was an option for an amount of damage / block they might take to add somethin of a balance to riding them around.
def not a config option for everyone, but, some upkeep to this would be nice if optional
The title outlines just about everything.
Press the key to throw out any pokemon. "R" Key by default
Craft a lead with slimeballs and string
right click lead on pokemon, and a fence post
recall pokemon back to pokeball.
Result: The lead will disappear forever and be inrecoverable.
I was thinking about this, since I love using Cobblemounts on my server and had some thoughts; two possible sources of data that might work better than just the pokemon's type, if they're available in the Java class:
Could do some combination of the two (if 'behaviour' is defined, use swim.canSwimInWater and fly.canFly, otherwise use 'moves'?)
However it's done, it would be nice to have in combination with #18 where you could manually override any decision (such as enabling flying Gyarados because it's canon in one game but not canon to Cobblemounts/HM learn set)
i want to blacklist certain pokemon but when ever I try my game crashes or mor specifically the mountable and unmountable list
Hi, no idea if this is even possible but i think it would be cool if the speed of the pokemon was scaled with their speed stat.
I was kinda disapointed at the running speed of Arcanine on land compared to a regular old swampert in water.
That way an Aerodactyl would be faster than a Dragonite.
The Mount speed seem pretty bugged, they all have the same speed (not scale by the stat) and are all REALLY fast
I didnt touch anything in the config, just downloaded and launch the game with the mod in its latest version and voila
(I also dont use github a lot so I probably did something wrong here lol)
for some reason snorlax does not climb hills. placing debug prints in the code confirms that it detects the block in front of it correctly, but it's not detected as a non-transparent block, so the block above said block is never checked and the code is never activated.
Cobblemounts 1.3.0 has some serious multiple bugs.
1: all the pokemon go at the speed of light on the ground.
2: changing the config and saving + restarting + reloading it ingame does not work.
3: flying pokemon stay midair on the same position if you dismount.
https://pastebin.com/VN9c3L0W thats the logs
At first it seemed to only happen while create was present but I've since been able to do this without it after further accidental testing.
The only mods present are Cobblemon, Cobblemounts, Create, and their dependencies
Steps to reproduce.
Result: A duplicate of the Pokemon you were riding with no AI that is immortal/unhittable
Closing and reentering the world again gets rid of the ghost.
A video has been provided below as proof.
Video has been edited to cut down on in game loading time in footage.
As the title says, all mounts are super speedy (which is so op it takes out the fun), and water mounts (such as Gyarados) are also capable of flying (at high speeds as well). I tried configuring the file, using the code shared on the main page which whitelists only POkemon that makes sense, but with no success. Any help is appreciated.
I noticed that after unmounting a pokemon, it seems to lose its AI and stops roaming around or teleporting to the player when they move some distance.
I also noticed sometimes the pokemon will drift back to the location where you first got onto them if you don't ride them far enough away. This doesn't always happen. I assume what happens is the AI is removed to prevent roaming while the user is riding it, but the AI is never returned.
This is easily fixed by returning the pokemon to the ball, it's more of an annoyance.

We are running the BigChadGuys+ modpack on 1.20 using this config for cobblemounts
First of all! I want to say thank you so much for updating it so quickly! You are a beast - this in respond to the previous ticket.
But here I am! XD Once again with a ticket.
There should be a toggle in the config or something to disable updates in the console. It overflows with updates if walking around
Hello, is it possible to backport to 1.19.2 ? I will try to do it from source, but never compile or make minecraft mods :)
Will try to understand code and test if it can be done :)
The mod apparently causes 1.5 to crash. This is a known, reported issue.
There is no ETA on when I'm going to fix this, but it shouldn't be too long.
Just as the title says. I feel like this should be classified as a bug because not only is it very overpowered, but it is also inconsistent with existing vehicles in Minecraft.
Me and my friends love this mod, but I personally feel like there are several balancing issues, and this is one of them.
We just loaded this onto our server with the BigChadGuys+ modpack, and we can mount pokemon but they don't move at all. I tried with the default config and the generic whitelist one provided on the mod download page.
When trying to walk, some mobs do show their walking animation (like charmeleon)
There's no error logs in the server console and I don't notice any weird behavior. I'm not sure where to start with providing further issue so any guidance or things to check would be great!
I have no idea how you rig the seating positions for different pokemon, so I don't know if fixing this would be fairly easy or a massive headache, but a number of pokemon have the rider floating while mounted. A lot of them just look a little goofy, immersion-breaking but nbd/ultimately harmless, but some (e.g. Corviknight, picture attached) have you hovering so far above them you actually take fall damage dismounting. I adore this mod and find it an essential addition to cobblemon, but the floating is not ideal.
Riding pokemon and walking with it on the ground is way too fast.
When I change the config file maximum it only changes the flying and swimming speed not walking.
