Send temperature from remote controller

Hi there,
Is your code able to send a temperature measurement from the remote (or from your PCB/wifi) to the indoor unit? I've had a look through the code and I don't think it's there but I might be missing it. Would it be hard to add?

Outdoor unit control RAV 8kW

I need to control Outdoor unit control, I don't have an indoor unit, is there any chance to scan the codes or something like that. the outdoor unit is connected to the gas water plate heat exchanger

Interested also in PCB :)

Hi,
I'm interested also in one soldered PCB with all the components ready for use.
how can I contact you?

Moshik

JSON is not correct

The following json is received in the browser.
dht_t should have 144 elements but it has 307.

First 144 values are correct, but then it is a mix of timestamp array.

I have checked the loop where this information is filled

void serialize_array_float(float *ptr, JsonArray &arr, int idx) {
and it seems to be ok.
Thus, maybe information is corrupted in posterior places but I do not know how to debug this without valgrind.

Interested in 2 PCBs for Australia.

Hello, I love this project and would love your hardware if you have a PCB. I have been looking at WiFi controllers but Toshiba do not have one.

Could I order 2 PCBs, one for myself and one for a friend.

Thank you!

Operating without a remote wired up? and PCB

Hi there,

The instructions for wiring your PCB say to wire it in parallel with a wired remote. Am I able to use just the PCB without also connecting a remote?

Also if you still have some PCBs I'm very interested in getting one :)

Thanks

populated PCBs

Hi there, I was wondering if you're still doing the populated pcbs?

Thanks,

older model with 3 wires

Hello, I have an older model (around 30 years old) RAV-260BH/260AH8, where the remote uses 3 wires: two for power supply (12 or 15v AC) and the remaining one for bidirectional communication. I don't have an oscilloscope, but since it uses a photo thyristor for sending and an optocoupler for receiving, I suppose it uses half of the ac wave for sending and the other half for receiving at 50bps.
This is what the service manual says
imatge
but it has no other details about the protocol used.
Finding information on this old unit is quite difficult, per chance do you happen to know something about it?

Unexpected resets

Sometimes, ESP8266 resets.
It can stay for some days wo resetting or just every few minutes.
I guess it is something related to ArduinoJSON but not sure. It does not appear to be a memory leak.
Other theory is that there are power problems but it is connected to a 5V 2A, so it should be like this.

toshiba_air_cond instead remote controller?

Hello!
Great job you have done!
Is it possible to use this device instead remote controller?
I have ordered Estia R32 heat pump, but I didn't order remote controller. I thought is it possible to control the heat pump remotely with this device if I do not have remote controller.
Thanks!

Interested in 4 PCBs

Hello, thanks for the great project, I would like to get 4 PCBs for my Toshiba AC, I am located in Singapore.

I'm interested in PCB

Hello,

I own a Toshiba Estia heat pump. I'd like to assume it has the same "AB" bus. Do you have any experience? Otherwise I'd give a try, just for fun.

Thanks!

Unknown messages

Hi,
I'm using https://github.com/pedobry/esphome_toshiba_suzumi/tree/main and communicating via wifi with my toshiba aircon.

There is a feature integrated to scan for unknown messages/sensors and I got some unknown messages.
I'm now looking for the power consumption of my unit, maybe you have an idea if it is inside of this messages?

This are my messages when the aircon is switched of -> idle mode:
