Hi,
I noticed that video scrobbling, or drawing the the video in the timeline, as per instructed in one of the Vimeo video, only works with small-sized file. I can do with the fingers movie example. However, when I use a larger video (52 MB, 1280x720 px resolution), the scrobbling wont' work. It draws the video, and plays it properly, though. I did change the track duration, but it doesn't affect anything. The problem solved after I resized the video to 320x240, thus reducing it to 5 MB, and no code was changed.
Is this normal? Or did I miss anything?
It's okay for me though, since I'm just using the audio of the video, but I can't imagine using this for a video. Thanks a lot for the great addon though :)
if there are keyframes beyond the default duration, they will get clipped if they are loaded before the duration is set in setup.
When I am setting the timline in point anything other than the beginning of the timeline the playhead gets stuck at the in point.
Setting the out point works fine. In the example projects setting in and out works fine. I've deleted all the xml's and started again. Problem still persists....??
When I try to compile I am getting the following error, is anyone else?
Virtual function 'loadSound' has a different return type ('bool') than the function it overrides (which has a return type 'void')
Hi Jim, I am trying to add an audio track to my timeline to finalise my software, I have followed your video on vimeo on how to add an audio track but after I add the OpenAL.framework the initial 28 errors go away but I am left with 8 others.
I've included a screen shot below. Would you have any ideas on how to fix these errors?
Thanks. Josh
can't figure it out...
Hi James, thank you for the great workshop at Tokyo!!
As some attendants(including me) in the workshop found, ofxTimeline::togglePlay() sometimes does not work properly in VideoTimer project.
After editing something on tracks during timeline playing, and the cursor went to the end , jumped back to the time 0 of timeline, the playing stops.
This can be corrected by clicking the top part of window.
After the problem occur, tooglePlay() works as stepping forward at 1 frame, but does not continue playing, and ofxTimeline::getIsPlaying returns true.
Here is my testing result.

Best,
if there are keyframes beyond the default duration, they will get clipped if they are loaded before the duration is set in setup.
The curve editor goes offscreen sometimes. Should try to stay within timeline bounds, but if it has to exit the bounds then at least stay on screen
