yaru-cli's Issues

Initial Kakoune Theme

"Kakoune is a code editor that implements Vi’s "keystrokes as a text editing language" model. As it’s also a modal editor, it is somewhat similar to the Vim editor (after which Kakoune was originally inspired)."

It has a channel on IRC, is packaged for Debian, and has vim stuff. It is widely talked about and has some love with support in GitHub Linguist, so I think it deserves it and is not just a bloat TUI editor.

spotify-tui

ncspot support has been completed-spotify-tui should be done

fzf

The command, the myth, the legend, the fuzzy finder

Musikcube

TUI music player - may cause issues on how it will be distributed. It is not a .deb but currently a snap; a snap would have to be made to install the file

irssi

An NCurses IRC client.

When done, consider Weechat and Profanity

Mutt

TUI E-mail Client.

Gotta do it because it's a .deb and this quote on its website. Been around since 1995

""All mail clients suck. This one just sucks less." -me, circa 1995"

Midnight Commander

A TUI file manager. It's a GNU official app that's been around since 1994. Let's give it some love. It's easy to theme.

When this is done, maybe consider ranger?

Bashtop/Bpytop/Btop++

Support for Bpytop, the new "Bashtop", but now there's a C++ version of it called Btop++. Whatever one is the latest maintained one, it supports theming and would look great with a theme.

Initial Micro Theme

Another TUI text editor-it is easy to maintain and is packaged for Debian/Ubuntu.

Nano

Can be themed in a 'nanorc' file

Initial Emacs Theme

Themes for GNU Emacs.

Do not use autothemer as it is not packaged, it is easier to maintain hand-written emacs-lisp plainly

It is also important to have themes for 256-bit and terminal colors for TTY(color-modes)

dh_elpa will be needed (it also has a testsuite/test command for debhelper)

Ranger

I've used ranger a few times on my raspi, I think it'll be good to have a theme around for it. Looks like python is how themes are written

Fish

I would prioritize this first over the other shells. It is widely used and loved for autocomplete, it's huge theming (https://github.com/oh-my-fish/oh-my-fish) and everything about it is amazing. It is simple to complete/do, and it would be great to have.

OS-global fish themes needs to be looked into though.

Micro theme: Create a plugin

There is a built-in plugin system for Micro with an official channel to post to via a PR. Then it can be installed through Micro. This would allow for better distribution outside of Ubuntu.

There are two files: a 'repo.json' file, simple enough, and a Lua file to sync everything together and connect the plugin to Micro (In our case, to load it)
