fatal error: runtime: bsdthread_register error

Upgraded to macOS Monterey and I am currently running into the below error when running the version -b command in a bash script.

fatal error: runtime: bsdthread_register error

I can still run man version successfully, but running commands causes for the tool to error out. The full error message is below.

Issue with greater than comparison

Hi
We are having issues with comparing greater than strings, the issue appears with the following data test:

version  -b ">1.0.27" "1.0.27" => true

My understanding is that the above should result in a false as it is not greater and isn't using =>.
