Minegrub pacman package

This repository contains the PKGBUILD for building and installing Minegrub on Arch Linux.

Minegrub is “a GRUB theme in the style of Minecraft”.

Installation

Download the PKGBUILD file from this repository and inspect its contents. Never run random scripts and executables you find on the internet.

Then, make and install the package:

$ makepkg
# pacman -U grub-theme-minegrub-git-*-any.pkg.tar.zst

To actually use the theme in GRUB, edit and regenerate its configuration:

/etc/default/grub
GRUB_THEME=/usr/share/grub/themes/minegrub/theme.txt
# grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg

To enable automatic package count and splash text updates, enable the minegrub-update systemd service:

# systemctl enable --now minegrub-update.service
