If you drag and then change date before the AJAX drag response has come back, the response from the drag request (with old dates) can still be added to map. Will probably need to add all XHR to an array and clear the array when date is changed.

Have an api for managing the requests queue. E.g. var new r = requests.create(std_options, {cancel: true})

Then subscribe to to request events for the loading indicator changes.

SG API doesn't support past events.
