Automated Installation with Batch File

For those who prefer an automated installation process, we have created a batch file that will download and install all the necessary tools and libraries for you.

  1. Open Notepad or any other text editor.
  2. Copy and paste the following code into the editor:

bash

@echo off

echo Installing Chocolatey package manager...
powershell.exe -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -Command "iex ((New-Object System.Net.WebClient).DownloadString('https://chocolatey.org/install.ps1'))"
echo.

echo Installing Node.js...
choco install nodejs -y
echo.

echo Installing Git...
choco install git -y
echo.

echo Installing Anaconda...
choco install anaconda3 -y
echo.

echo Installing Visual Studio Code...
choco install vscode -y
echo.

echo Installing Python libraries...
conda install -c conda-forge numpy pandas matplotlib seaborn scikit-learn jupyter dask -y
echo.

echo Installing JavaScript libraries...
npm install -g d3 react
echo.

echo All done! Enjoy your new development environment.
  1. Save the file as install.bat on your desktop.
  2. Double-click the install.bat file to run it. This will start the installation process, which may take a few minutes to complete.

Once the installation is complete, you will have all the necessary tools and libraries installed on your computer. You can now start the course and begin your journey as a full-stack web developer and data scientist!

Installing the Required Tools and Libraries on Mac OS

1. Install Homebrew

Homebrew is a package manager that simplifies installing software on Mac OS. To install Homebrew, open a Terminal window and run the following command:

bash

/bin/bash -c "$(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Homebrew/install/HEAD/install.sh)"

Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

2. Install Python 3

Python is a popular programming language used in data science and web development. To install Python 3, run the following command in the Terminal:

brew install python

3. Install Visual Studio Code

Visual Studio Code is a popular code editor for web development. To install Visual Studio Code, download the installer from the official website and follow the prompts to complete the installation.
