There's a work-in-progress new version of cc used internally in sqlite2go. Please take a look, I think, it may serve your use case better. If that's the case, I would suggest that I will pull the c99 to its own repository for you to import from and/or contribute to.

The point is that this new version incorporates many lessons learned from cc and is IMO even in this unfinished state probably more correct. ATM only about 460/1000+ gcc tests can be type-checked by c99, but it's my goal to handle them all anyway.
