We found an issue where the reload prompt does not wait for the installation to finish. As a result, if the user promptly clicks on the reload button before the installation completes, the extension does not get updated until VS Code is restarted manually.

Looking at the code, it looks like there is a missing 'return' keyword in front of new Promise in the file ExtensionUpdater.ts on line no 118. So we are creating a Promise but not returning.

We validated this by simulating a delayed installtion using sleep within the promise and the reload prompt was presented before the installtion was completed.
