I have been waiting for quite a while to see this single feature request for any form of enemy enhancement. Ideally it could even be added to the improved AI for additional effect. It may be beyond the scope of your abilities or the project but I wanted to suggest it anyway in case it turned out to be as simple as making pf turn based or diablo 1 real time.

Allowing the enemy to roll multiple initiatives and take more than one turn during those individual initiatives.

In this case, having this feature like a bag of tricks style enable would prolongue the boss encounters in a way that doesnt just feel like mindless padding. In the AI's application, the triggering of this feature could present the AI with options to use more of their abilities. Thus a big boss might make a full attack on one turn, and be more likely to cast a spell the next turn.

If this is not on the table, then hopefully owlcat will add the mythic version of this house rule in WotR. we'll see.
