Question about Kociemba solver

Looking at the code, it looks like the kociemba solver (in /kociemba-hacked-speedtest) will only accept a cube state if the state string (Really a sequence of turns) is exactly 54 characters, and each face is turned exactly 9 times, and none of those turns are left-handed.

Am I understanding this correctly?

Help! Can't get OpenCV to recognize colors?

I Can't for the life of me get OpenCV to recognize the correct colors using the linalg.norm approach that you've got in your code. I've also tried euclidean distance, normalized euclidean, and CIE2000 colorspace (per http://hanzratech.in/2015/01/16/color-difference-between-2-colors-using-python.html ). The tiniest change in lighting makes "Orange" get detected as "White", or "Blue" get detected as "Yellow".

Any tips on how to cut down on the noise in color detection, and get a higher-confidence estimate out of OpenCV?

Motor's data.

Dear Jay.
May you send me any information about the motors you used in your robot?
Model \ Part N \ Manufacture.
Or just a photo of the motor's label.
You can also use my E-mail: [email protected] for your information.

Best Regards,
Sergey.
