Ruby on Rails app for hosting student portfolios! Developed in CS 3300 — Intro to Software Engineering

Need To Know

Remember to migrate database on Heroku with pushes: heroku rake db:migrate

Creating integration tests for features: bundle exec rails g rspec:feature projects

Known Issues

CircleCI will always report, "Coverage report generated for RSpec to /root/project/coverage. 0 / X LOC (0.0%) covered." I've tried 7 times with different methods. This is a bug to know (I suspect version conflicts or misconfiguration). 29af7fa ab3cecb daf5279 c564000 f3d04be 78d7754 8d30d4d

Devise, FactoryBot, Faker

flash messages located in config/locales/devise.en.yml

Faker::UniqueGenerator.clear # Clears used values for all generators

Get Coverage back to at least 70%.

As a mobile user, I want the web page to have proper proportions so that it is aesthetically pleasing.

As a student mobile user, I just want the website to work (responsive web page) so that when I’m trying to show off my portfolio it’s not embarrassing.

As an anonymous benefactor, so that my hard earned wages are put to good use, the website better be accessible.

As long as the hosting platform Heroku is accessible, the application will be accessible via a public facing website.

As a student, I want to be able to edit projects so that I can fix typos.

Install DatabaseCleaner for handling tests.

As a student, I want to be able to add an unlimited number of projects so that I can show off my portfolio.

As a user, I want to click a button that says “Show” so that I can view the project title and description on a separate page.

As a student, I want to be the only one allowed to add, edit, or remove projects so that I can have peace of mind that I won’t lose my work from someone else.

This implies user ownership and access control of Projects. Not a requirement, but a good feature!
