There are breadcrumbs at the top to go to the parent folder. ".." is
1980's UI. (My preference is terminal, but not appropriate here)

@raingart what @jcampbell1 mentions is this (folder names removed for privacy):
You can navigate back using the top navigation, therefore using ".." is not really necessary.

I saw breadcrumbs at the top. I'm talking about something else.
If the transition to a level higher than the file manager.
eg:
| /root
| - /site/
L - /file-manager/index.php
fm now /file-manager/index.php
I want to go to (cd ../site). If this option is disabled for privacy purposes. You can specify the target directory in the settings. Or make ON ".." in the settings
for example << / home / dir1 / dir2 Where "<<" is ".." (/root)

@raingart oh, I get it now. @jcampbell1 correct me if I am wrong, but I feel that functionality would be out of scope for this project.
On the other hand, I have seen several forks adding functionality on top of this base project, might be worth spending some time looking at some of them and see if there is one with this feature already implemented.

Yes, that is right. Giving access to folders higher than in install
location creates security issues. This is meant to be really simple, with
cut and paste install and no configuration.
