A TUTORIAL ON POINTERS AND ARRAYS IN C

This is A TUTORIAL ON POINTERS AND ARRAYS IN C Version 1.3 by Ted Jensen. I am putting this up on my Github account as it appears that Ted has taken down his website where this tutorial was located. I find this tutorial on pointers in C to be one of the best out there and well worth preserving. Since Ted also put this in the Public Domain I plan on working on the tutorial to remove any links to his defunct website and point them to this repository. I also plan on cleaning up the tutorial a bit to remove a few 1990's references (when this turtorial was written) and if needed, update any code to the C11 standard.

The first commit was exactly as ver. 1.2 of his tutorial on his website before it was deleted.

PDF: Chapter 6 missing from table of contents and page 29 heading

Thanks for the great LaTeX and Markdown conversions of this classic. In the PDF, Chapter 6 is missing in the table of contents as well as the heading which I believe is due to a missing \subsection in ch6x.tx

\c{CHAPTER 6: Some more on Strings, and Arrays of

NOTE: fixing this will mean you want to also adjust the spacing on the TOC page, as the last entry will be pushed off onto a new page.

Typo in chapter 2 of ver 1.3

in line 7, of chapter 2 ver 1.3 which is
"number will be copied. But, defining the type that the pointer points to permits a number of other interesting ways a compiler can interpret code. For example, consider a block in memory consisting if ten integers"

the "if ten integers" would be "of ten integers"
