This collection of dotfiles is managed by chezmoi.
Once you have installed chezmoi, run:
chezmoi init https://github.com/jhbabon/dotfiles.git
Configuration files for UNIX systems
Try UltiSnips instead of snipMate:
Use CtrlP instead of FuzzyFinder:
Wrong url to the repository in the installation instructions.
Add alias to 'bundle exec':
alias bx ="bundle exec"
Now the status bar has the name of the window and other things. It should be simplified, without the window's name, etc.

The autosave function has problems with new files and nerd tree.
It looks awesome: https://github.com/tpope/vim-afterimage
Use this trick:
Sometimes (or always?) if a symlink to a directory exists, make will create it again, but nested:
# example
% ls ~/.config/zsh/rc.d/rc.d
I think make can be aware of symlinks with the -L
option: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/39309734/symlinks-and-make-flags-in-chain-of-makefiles
The bundler plugin (zsh/lib/env/bundler.zsh
) doesn't work with alias rake='noglob rake'
inside zsh/lib/env/aliases.zsh
The error is:
fatal: git ls-files: cannot generate relative filenames containing '..'
It's caused by the zsh-git plugin. The calls to git ls-files
inside the zgitinit
needs the --full-name
option.
Consider to fork the plugin and refactor it.
Add .irbrc
with the content of this link: http://coderwall.com/p/6yqm-q
For clojure: https://github.com/tpope/vim-foreplay
All the vim plugins used exist as a git repo in github. Add the repos to bundle dir.
It is a bit messy, specially the ZSH section.
Check out the Holfman's system:
Move some configurations on zshrc to zshenv.
Actually, I don't use it.
ruby-build should be a plugin inside rbenv/plugins/
. It should be installed with rake install
too.
The directories vim/tmp/{undo, backup, swap}
should be created in the installation process.
