A Github service connection using a Personal Access Token is stored with scheme: "Token" and therefore does not work with this extension. This is the same problem raised on the main azure-pipelines-tasks repo: microsoft/azure-pipelines-tasks#11558

We need step by step documentation for adding a label to pull request.

Who needs the whole JSON from the GET. Individual values is what one needs. Also, since the same (or similar) API could be called more than once in a pipeline, the task needs a variable prefix parameter to disambiguate.

So, if the result JSON goes

And the prefix parameter is "my_", the task, I think, should publish the following variables:

my_a = Foo
my_b = Bar
my_c = {"d": "Baz"}
my_c.d = Baz
my_e.length = 2
my_e.0 = 10
my_e.1 = 20

May I send a PR to that effect?

You might get an authorisation error in case you are using a default GitHub endpoint created by Azure DevOps pipeline. This is because the scope of the token used in the endpoint is limited. You will have to create new GitHub endpoint with appropriate scope.

The task should save the output to a variable which can be used by the subsequest task.

Github action is easier to maintain and share publicly.
We also need the capability to transparently update the extension once the PR is merged.

Step1: Create K8 cluster

Step 2: With every pull request create a namespace in K8 cluster.
Step 3: Deploy a service using helm chart
Step 4: post the service url as commit status in PR.
