I know this is called "nginx-testing" – but since you also provide njs binaries …

Can you provide a small example how to test things against njs? Would that even be possible? My usecase: since njs only has a subset of included objects etc it would be helpfull to unit test certain functions against that subset without doing the "nginx roundtrip".

we just had the issue, that we were still using nginx 1.18.0 in our tests startNginx({ version: '1.10.0'}) but in the nginx.conf we were using js_var – a feature, that should not have worked with the njs version that was packaged with nginx 1.18.0. But the tests stayed green. Only when we deployed it, did it fail.
How can we avoid this in the future?

first, let me thank you (a lot) for your multiple tools that helped me in my njs development! Really nice and thorough.

Now, my issue is, I can't get the tests to run in my CI environment. Do you have any ideas how I could debug this?
The container that the gitlab runner is using is "node:14.16.1" – which, afaik, should have everything needed …
