Example DMX light controller for the Raspberrypi (or any Linux box).  The controller communicates with DMX slave devices via an OpenDmxUsb device.

USB DMX interface
-----------------

The OpenDmxUsb hardware includes an FTDI USB-serial device and RS485 driver.  The Python pyftdi module (https://github.com/eblot/pyftdi) provides the software interface to the FTDI USB driver.

LCD UI
------

The LCD UI is provided by Lcdproc http://lcdproc.org, via the lcdproc client library (https://github.com/jingleman/lcdproc.git).

DMX Slave Device
----------------

For this example controller, I used a Chauvet COLORstrip Mini (http://www.chauvetlighting.com/colorstrip-mini.html) at DMX address 0.  The DMX channel values corresponding to the colors used in this demo are available in the COLORstrip Mini product manual: http://www.chauvetlighting.com/products/manuals/COLORstrip_-Mini_Rev03c_UM.pdf
