Problem

Idk if this is intentional but, once you choose a sort type, for instance "unread count" on manga
the anime page's sort type changes to "unseen count"
it would be nice if these two were independent from each other

The GitHub Button in the about section of the mpv-beta version should lead us to the mpv-beta GitHub and not to the main aniyomi page.

I just thought that it could be nice.

When i watch anime. The player keeps buffering the whole episode. Until it completed. Though it looks like buffering but actually its downloading the whole episode. Unlike the official version it buffer little by little. Which is good Hope it fix. When release officially.

Im using the latest mpv beta version.

Tried others as well for now between the one I have most are broken(animepahe,Zoro, 9anime) but download was successful on gogoanime.

I get a need authorization when downloading latest apk

So what I mean is like merge the:
Anime and manga Download in one like it is with history and updates tab and the same with the anime category and manga category.
It would make the more organized (less cluttered?).

Also, an additional will be like removing the backup and restore from the more page as it is already present in the more->settings already.

Recently I've noticed that the anime extensions AnimeOnsen and 9Anime have some issues. Everytime I open Aniyomi, these two sources don't show up as installed, even though they are. I always have to "install" them in order to use them. If I quit Aniyomi and open again, the same thing happens and I have to tap install for them. Is there any fix?

Please add the option to change the default user agent string in the advanced settings option as it is available in tachiyomi app. It helps in using some extension that are having cloudflare issues or such like in nhentai that works after changing the user agent string in the tachiyomi but nonsuch option is available in aniyomi for now.

Will you ever add a feature to turn off Manga as a whole? or ever release a different variant for just anime only? I dont know if its just me but the app feels more clunky with both anime and manga section and i mainly use the app for anime only so it would be very nice to see that feature/variant. Great app btw. Thanks.

The said button should only be displayed on the entries which have unread/unwatched chapters/episodes.

So, seems like r5833 was release by mistake and I install it, but after some crashes and bugs I tried to uninstall it and install the previous version, but now im getting this error ""INSTALL_FAILED_VERSION_DOWNGRADE: Package Verification Result""
saying I'm downgrading even tho I don't have ANY aniyomi on my phone, I can't install the r5833 either cause I don't have the APK, since I install it through the aniyomi app itself ....

I'm fucked and I'm panicking, would REALLY appreciate ANY help, I'm almost addict to this app by this point, really.

When you re-open aniyomi it wil be stuck on the logo screen.
The only temporary fix i found out was to force stop aniyomi and clearing the cache

When I am downloading any particular series and have downloaded some episodes and am downloading the next episode and have to cancel the download the the episode all the previously downloaded episodes get deleted automatically.

Don't know if I explained it properly, please feel free to ask if any confusion.

The watch history for anime does not get stored while creating a backup/ watch history is not restored while restoring backup.

While the issue is not happening with the manga section.

Latest update has broken video display color while playing any videos. It is shown with a green tint applied over the video. I've only tried it with KickassAnime source extension v13.11.

Some icons seem way too big than tha normal version.
Like the pause/play, forward, backward in the video player, incognito mode, toggle icon, the anime, manga , etc. Category icon in the bottom. It would be more visually appealing if those are addressed and optimised for normal size like the earlier stable versions.

Description:-

In anime (I tried with Zoro and Gogoanine),
every time we quit/leave the player, the selected server/quality (if we selected other than default one in the extension settings) is being reset automatically.
Next time we open the episode, player selects the global one which is set in the extension settings.

In Local anime, If we close the player, selected audio & sub are being reset.
And some times, subtitle is not selected by default even if the video has subtitle.

As you can see in below screen record:-

In the anime history section. chapter -> episode and manga -> anime

Also, I would like of this can stay open for a short while to report this kind of small details. Just feels wrong to. Create a new issue over this. One of the reasons it took me this while to report it.

My list of extensions are "freeze/stuck" whatever, when I try to unchecked it on the list, it doesn't show unchecked, but it works, it's just a visual bug, I think it's easier to understand seeing the screenshots, like how AsianLoad and Membed is unchecked and still there

can't grant access to sdcard when adding local manga or anime

When the anime library refreshes every day or so a notification occurs where it tells that new titles found in Library but all the titles are there all the time and in the new episodes section it lists every episode as well.

Though the thing only occurs in the notification as the updates page does not show such message.

When changing the bottom navigation style in general settings, when we change the options the option in the more section does get changed but the bottom navigation bar stays the same. I.e. no change

Try to watch anime but keep saying that the expected url scheme https or 'https' but no scheme was found for

When changing the cover for an entry it changes the cover in the details page but when in the library section it show a broken link type thing and displays no cover or doesn't changes the cover in the library section.Also some covers take unusual time while in the library section.

It is happening only for the manga section and is working fine for anime section.

When I try to access extension settings it just says "well, this is awkward" for every extension.

So it's a feature in tachiyomij2k as much as I know. As it says it updates the tracker after marking a chapter read.

I've been using this new beta and so far so good, everything works nicely. I like the new player and it seems like the perfect anime player for android since it has tracking and op skipping. But whenever i play anime i have downloaded on my phone, it starts lagging (it works fine when using regular extensions). I should also mention that i tried the very same episode on mx player and it was fine. Any fix?

In the new update it seems that there is a issue while downloading. It shows error - downloaded file not found while starting the download and then the download gets cancelled.

I have also tried it with multiple extensions and the problems seems to be there for every extension.

So mainly the issue is that for some random anime in my library the cover changes to some of the my custom manga covers.

It happens when I open a anime for details and such and then go back to the library page.

It does not happen in the manga library.

Happens to only one anime per category.

If I remove that anime from library it starts to happen to some other random anime.

I think from this you will get the gist of the problem.

Whenever I open any tv show which has lots of episodes, it will hang for roughly 10 seconds every single time even though it has already downloaded the metadata.
The problem only seems to be in the beta version since the stable version doesn't hang or lag.

Sometimes I download on other sites and then put on the download folder location of the extension so that I can watch it on aniyomi (mpv) . But it fails to play even though it already has a downloaded badge on the anime. it just keeps streaming. It is a bug, because the stable aniyomi plays it and doesn't stream the already downloaded anime.

After updating to mpv-beta from priview I can't find the hide Navy bar upon scrolling option in settings . If I remember correctly you could enable this option from the appearance settings but it is missing

So there's this feature in the base tachiyomi app that tells you some stats based on library etc. It would be cool if implemented here also.

Idk, probably you are already working on it, then you can probably use this issue for keeping track of😀.

So the basic idea is to have an option to hide the name of the tabs for the more accustomed user who don't have the need to look at the names to traverse between tabs.

The player is downloading the whole episodes in buffer it consumed all of my data

Since now we can stream with subtitles, is there any way we can also download with subtitles?

I just updated and all my anime extensions just vanished, I tried to uninstall and install again but after it download and supposedly install, it still doesn't show on my list of extension and still give me tr option of "install" like I never did, can't use the extension to se animes either

I would like to add a feature to change aspect ratio from any aspect ratio to my desired aspect ratio for expamle change a 16:9 to 4:3 like the screenshot above.

There's a pretty good script called skip-intro which "skips to the next moment of silence in the video. The intended use for this is to skip until the end of an opening sequence, at which point there's often a short period of silence."
I've been using it for around a year now and it works flawlessly, i was wondering if it can be added in this beta since it uses MPV and if so, can you add it as button in the player interface that replaces the +85s button?

Hello. I sincerely apologize if I'm not supposed to give issues on this "buggy" build, but I noticed that if I search for an anime or manga and select it from any extension in the search results, it shows up with 0 episodes/chapters. I've attached an image to show what I mean.

This happens with every anime/manga in every extension.

I would like to request a very important and amazing feature they would take aniyomi to the next level. An option to watch the trailer. If it'd be in the app and not link you too YouTube, they would be best.
Tho I am afraid there might need to be ui change and that may take a while since it's alot of work.

It will be very helpful if we will be able to delete local anime files/episodes within the app.

For example we can select which episodes we want to delete and with a delete icon in the bottom option panel, we can delete them.

As my primary player (not only anime, also other mediums😅) , it will be very helpfull to people like me.

Edit:- if above one is difficult, then a button to directly open the local anime path in the default file manager will be great too

Is it possible to fix the player in the interface in Arabic, because when playing an episode, and I want to skip forward or backward, it reverses its role, if I want to move forward, it goes backwards and so on.
Same for the progress bar

I don't know if it was intended or not, but this option occurs in two places. one under more tab and another under settings option in more tab. I think it is better to show the option in one place only.
