Can give a overview why FreedomEV isn't working on cars with firmware from 2019.4?
FreedomEV wiki link is not working https://www.freedomev.com/wiki
USB stick loses power.
Using a 12V powered usb hub doesn't resolve the issue.
Any suggestions?
I thinking about developing app on tesla browser. Could I find somewhere image of tesla system or browser app to test something?
hello i could not get it working on 2019.36.2.1 as crontab mounted on swap :(
Asking for help, please reply as soon as possible...
With a fresh download (from yesterday) of the USB rootfs I tried to git pull
from the Model S within the chroot, but got the following:
remote: Enumerating objects: 368, done.
remote: Counting objects: 100% (368/368), done.
remote: Compressing objects: 100% (147/147), done.
remote: Total 606 (delta 220), reused 366 (delta 219), pack-reused 238
Receiving objects: 100% (606/606), 110.58 KiB | 501.00 KiB/s, done.
Resolving deltas: 100% (274/274), completed with 49 local objects.

I'm not sure what's going on, but I'll hold off installing it for now.
Hi Jasper and others, I created the USB drive and inserted it into my Model S. It gets mounted under /disk/usb.*/
like it is supposed to. Using chroot
to update it is another story, though.
When typing chroot /disk/usb.???/
I'm getting:
chroot: failed to run command
/bin/bash': Permission deniedI'm doing this as root on the cid. The permissions seem normal but it's caused by the USB drive being mounted noexec. I solved this by
mount -o remount, exec, dev /dev/sda1. After this the chroot worked fine. Also, it removes
nodevand changes that into
dev` and makes the chroot actually work on my car.
Also, following the README.md
to the letter at this point leave it in a subdirectory, because it only moves it out of a subdirectory, and not the subdirectory inside the subdirectory.
I'll fix this with a PR.
The USB drive isn't being automatically mounted anymore when I insert it. It used to mount sda1's ext4 partition automatically under /disk/usb.???/.
I'm on 2019.12.1.1 now, but I could be that this started before I upgraded to this firmware. I tested whether I could mount it manually and that actually works fine. If i mount it on /disk/usb.tst/, freedom EV also starts properly.
