daggergpuminer's Issues

Issues compiling with VS 2017

Hi. I'm testing this out but I'm having issues getting this to compile with VS 2017. For some reason I keep getting this:
sha256_mod.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol SHA256_Transform referenced in function "void __cdecl shamod::shasha(unsigned int *,unsigned char const *,unsigned __int64,unsigned char *)" (?shasha@shamod@@YAXPEAIPEBE_KPEAE@Z)

I even tried to explicitly include the openssl lib folder in Library Directories to no avail.
Any pointers would be much appreciated!

Unable to run multiple Nvidia cards in one instance on Ubuntu

Hi,

If I run the miner with multiple Nvidia cards on Ubuntu, I only get 1 card actually mining.

If I run without the -nvidia-fix, what I see is this:

··· 00:58:04|xdag-gpu New task: t=16bae88ffff N=1
m 00:58:06|xdag-gpu Speed 1008.65 Mh/s u/0 504.33 u/1 504.33
m 00:58:10|xdag-gpu Speed 1007.84 Mh/s u/0 503.92 u/1 503.92

The cards report the same hash rate, and only one card's worth ever shows at the pool.

If I run with the -nvidia-fix, I see this:

··· 00:57:40|xdag-gpu New task: t=16bae87ffff N=1
m 00:57:42|xdag-gpu Speed 605.19 Mh/s u/0 504.33 u/1 100.87
m 00:57:46|xdag-gpu Speed 523.87 Mh/s u/0 503.72 u/1 20.15
m 00:57:50|xdag-gpu Speed 503.71 Mh/s u/0 492.51 u/1 11.19
m 00:57:54|xdag-gpu Speed 493.60 Mh/s u/0 493.60 u/1 0.00

It appears that card '1' is not being fed any new work?

Any ideas what could be causing this. I have tried on multiple rigs and see the same behaviour.

Thanks,

Will not build - Visual Studio 2015

Admittedly my familiarity with Visual Studio is almost non-existent but there's very little in the README to go on. That being said, the project will not build in VS 2015. This is my build output...

CL_OUT_OF_RESOURCES error when running on more than 3 GPUs

Hello Jonano614, I was able to successfully run the gpu miner on my mining rig using 3 GPUs and it worked fine. However, when I tried to run it on more than 3, I was getting the error. Following is the log output.
Note: In one command window, the executable is already running with 3 devices. I then ran the following in a new window. (Note that if I just run it with all the GPUs, for the 4th, 5th and all other GPUs, it shows 0 Mh/s.

Appreciate if you can look into it Thanks for your work!

Question on the balance after running the GPU miner

Hello jonano614, I was able to successfully compile the GPU miner after making a few tweaks to the code (I downloaded the code about 10 hrs back and it does not have some fixes that you made in the last few hours).

I ran the GPU miner for about 20 mins. I have a couple of questions:

  1. I have 2 NVIDIA GPUs, but the GPU miner is only picking up 1 GPU. Is there a way to run the program to use more than 1 GPU? Does the miner currently support this functionality?
  2. After running the program for 20 mins, I checked the balance and it still shows the old balance. Any idea if this the miner is working correctly?
  3. Can I solomine instead of connecting to a pool?

Appreciate your comments. Thanks!

Here is the output from the window (I have connected to the pool 213.168.251.23:13654).

The performance issues with Nvidia Graph card in linux-0.2.2

Hi, Jonano.
I have compiled the 0.2.2 version in 2.07.2018. I use both platform (AMD and NVIDIA). But I have observed that it didn't work with Nvidia Card in linux(other side AMD yes). There was a 80% decrease in my N card earning.
I confirmed my test by using the personal computing power calculating of one pool (xdag.top). 1080ti computing power are showed only 300MH/s. (it should be 1.0Gh/s). So my software are rolled back to 2.0, it performans normal.
I don't know why. But maybe there are some issues in linux. Could you please check it again? or Is it my compiling problem?
Thank you very much :)

Hi. I successful compiled the GpuMiner. But when I use it to connect the pool, I found that it always work for the same task , "New task: t=169aedbffff".

What should I do to deal with the issue? Many thanks!

Why cannot a running GPU miner works on the pools while the CPU miner is working.

My GPU miner seems worked locally, but cannot be shared on the pools that I tried to share with respectively. All of them told me that both my hashes and shares are totally ZERO. However, my CPU's hashes is much less, but that works when it was running with the wallet.
The card is AMD Radeon HD6770 with the GPU Juniper in 1GB VRAM.
