jsq's Issues

Unable to compile jsq (flatpak)

jamovi 1.0.0

jamovi compiler

jamovi found at /usr/bin/flatpak

When I'm trying to compile the recent master branch for the Linux flatpak version, I'm getting stuck with the above message.

Error in rbind(info, getNamespaceInfo(env, "S3methods")) : number of columns of matrices must match (see arg 2)

First, I want to say thanks that you fixed a few issues to make jsq compileable in Linux. :-)

Now, when I compile jsq 0.9.5 for the Linux flatpak version, JASPgraphs is not fetched during compile. But this can be solved by manually invoking devtools::install_github("jonathon-love/JASPgraphs@337739b893d7634b8d9481d4256ddc13962a6ede", force=T, lib="/path-to/jsq-master/build/R/").

And after cleanly compiling with JASPgraphs, I get this error Error in rbind(info, getNamespaceInfo(env, "S3methods")) : number of columns of matrices must match (see arg 2), when I try to get simple descriptive plots, e.g., for Bayesian t-Tests or ANOVAs.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Fetch latest version of jsq
  2. Manually download JASPgraphs into build/R
  3. Compile jsq with jmvtools::install(home = "flatpak")
  4. Open jamovi in terminal (flatpak run org.jamovi.jamovi)
  5. Load Tooth Growth dataset with DV: len and IV: supp
  6. Tick box for Descriptive plots
  7. Receive above error in terminal

Error code running blinReg

Hi, thank you for providing this code it is very helpful! I have used the blinReg function successfully in the past week, but I recently updated my dataset and when I made corresponding changes to the code (really just switching variable names) I started getting an error that I do not understand.

Error is as follows:
Error in eval(predvars, data, env) :
object 'XWnBhaW5fc3VtX2xvY2F0aW9u' not found

That object is not one that I have anywhere in my code or in my dataset, I was hoping you may be able to help me identify where that is coming from.

Thanks!
Kailey

No effect of changing the prior in t-tests

Nothing changes if you change the prior. Not the BF, not the prior/posterior plot, etc.

To reproduce:

  1. Do a Bayesian t-test (one-sample or two-sample or paired), e.g., on the sleep data.
  2. (not necessary) tick off everything to see that nothing is affected.
  3. Change the prior to something outrageous. E.g., a normal with location 9. Nothing changes.

This works as expected in JASP. Changing priors in ANOVA seems to work OK.

jsq is here!

hi @EJWagenmakers

just letting you know that we've made the jasp bayesian analyses available as a module for jamovi, called jsq. this is cool, because it will be making your analyses accessible to a broader audience.

we haven't put it in the jamovi library yet, but you can side-load it into the latest version (0.9.6.9), here are the links:

https://library.jamovi.org/modules/jsq_0.9.1-win64.jmo
https://library.jamovi.org/modules/jsq_0.9.1-macos.jmo

let us know if you have any feedback, or if you find any issues with it. we're pretty confident we've got all the references correct, for example.

we'd like to release in the next week or so.

cheers
