dropbox needs RDEPEND on ncurses:5/5

I got an preserved-rebuild entry for it:

package: sys-libs/ncurses-6.0-r1

    • /lib64/libncurses.so.5
    • /lib64/libncurses.so.5.9
  •  used by /opt/dropbox/_curses.so (net-misc/dropbox-3.14.5)

I think it should RDEPEND on || ( ncurses:0/5 ncurses:5/5 ).

Adding proper keywords for arc-theme?

It seems that arc-themes, faba and moka ebuilds did not have any keywords defined, and perhaps it might be better to define them so that users wouldn't have to do any keyword changes to their system?

popcorntime-bin does not load

When I open the app, says the following: "Error loading the data, try again ... pie." Only al decided to download the tar on the official website and is running normal!

net-im/whatsapp-for-desktop: fail to launch

After emerging net-im/whatsapp-for-desktop, I tried to launch it but it fail because of missing libgconf. Adding gnome-base/gconf in RDEPEND fix the issue.

Missing dependency for media-sound/lollypop

Hello jorgicio,

I really like your effort for making an ebuild for lollypop.
When I installed it via portage there was a missing dependency though.

virtual/python-sqllite is not in the gentoo portage tree but the overlay "progress". In order to install your ebuild I had to add progress in layman which brings unstable python versions and modules with it.
I prefer not to have this. It would be very nice of you if you'd have an ebuild for virtual/python-sqllite in your overlay.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Deepin for gentoo

Hello! You know the Deepin desktop, built in html5? It is super light, simple and functional ... You would be able or know of someone who concierge him to gentoo?

Here the packages are, few !!

Ebuild failure on splitted debug info

When the split debug feature of portage is used, the symlink generation of the crypto++ library fails.

the line:

LIBCRYPTO=`equery f crypto++ | grep libcrypto++.so.0.0.0`

should be changed to:

LIBCRYPTO=`equery f crypto++ | grep libcrypto++.so.0.0.0 | tail -n 1`

or

LIBCRYPTO=`equery f crypto++ | grep -e libcrypto++.so.0.0.0 | grep -ve debug `

libsodium needed for v.2.9.8

It has been some time since I was able to compile the megasync 2.9.8 ebuild successfully, so I don't have any build logs or similar. But I do remember that compilation broke at some point due to not having libsodium. I put a '+' in front of 'libsodium' on this line:

IUSE="+cryptopp +sqlite +libsodium +zlib +curl freeimage readline examples threads qt5 nautilus"

in the ebuild - and all went well. Please consider this change for your ebuild too.
As far as I am concerned, this has resolved the issue for me, so you can mark this as solved.

dropbox start failes with qt5 error

if i start dropbox it complains about an permission error. but it points to an error file with additonal info. this seems to be the real error (i attached the complete file):

Eclipse theme is broken after upgrading to 4.5.0

Hi. I don't know if this is your issue or the upstream's but it looks like starting with version 4.5.0, Eclipse disregards system theme and just uses the first thing available. I guess that's Swing or GTK, but I'm not sure. It looks horrible under KDE.

x11-misc/primus-20150328-r1 breaks optirun primus backend

Updating to your newest primus ebuild prevents optirun from being able to find the primus backend.

optirun -b primus glxspheres
[ 278.429714] [ERROR]Accel/display bridge primus is not installed.

primusrun, which did not work with 20150328 due to being unable to find libGL.so.1 works again with 20150328-r1 but seems to use the Intel GPU instead of the Nvidia GPU (and provides similar performance to using the Intel GPU directly). This issues seems to be similar to what I experience: amonakov/primus#101. I've rolled back now to 20150328 and am able to use optirun with the primus backend again.

Are you supposed to set GIT_ECLASS yourself?

In pretty much all of the *-9999.ebuilds there is a line inherit ... ${GIT_ECLASS}.

However, in all cases GIT_ECLASS is set below in an if-statement. For instance, here: net-im/telegram-cli/telegram-cli-9999.ebuild#L9-L18.

My ebuild was failing with the following errors. However it works if I substitue ${GIT_ECLASS} with git-r3.

 * ERROR: net-im/telegram-cli-9999::jorgicio failed (configure phase):

Hence, am I supposed to set it somewhere in advance or am I doing something else wrong?

net-libs/nodejs fails to build on old gcc because of missing dependency

This was marked as stable, so I figured I'd emerge it to play around. However it failed to build on my machine with gcc-4.7 but worked as soon as I upgraded to gcc-4.9. So maybe adding a dependency for gcc-4.8 might be a good idea.

As a note, I had gcc-4.9 installed, but not chosen as the system default.

media-sound/lollypop-0.9.112: Please change licence from "LGPL-3.0" to "LGPL-3"

Hi!

The license file is called "LGPL-3" in Gentoo, see /usr/portage/licenses/LGPL-3.
Without this fix, users need to act to

The following license changes are necessary to proceed:
 (see "package.license" in the portage(5) man page for more details)

without real need to. Thanks in advance!

net-im/telegram-bin has an "update" button in the GUI even without the "updater" USE flag

The title says it all. Here's what I have installed:

missing bfq patches from gentoo-sources 3.19 in ck-sources 3.19

Dear jorgicio,

I'm amazed about your always up to date ck-sources effort !
Thank you very much!

A noob question maybe:
What useflag do I need to use to activate the BFQ patches in the 3.19 kernel? On gentoo-sources they are included with the "experimental" useflag in 3.19. Somehow I am clueless how to activate them in ck-sources 3.19 though.

Thank you very much indeed.

[lollypop] Missing dependency on dev-lang/python[sqlite]

First of all thanks for the overlay!
I just installed lollypop and when I wanted to start it it gave the following error:

simon@simon-desktop ~/dev/simonvanderveldt $ lollypop
No module named 'requests'
Advanced artist informations disabled
$ sudo pip3 install wikipedia
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "/usr/bin/lollypop", line 25, in <module>
    from lollypop.application import Application
  File "/usr/lib64/python3.4/site-packages/lollypop/application.py", line 39, in <module>
    from lollypop.database import Database
  File "/usr/lib64/python3.4/site-packages/lollypop/database.py", line 13, in <module>
    import sqlite3
ImportError: No module named 'sqlite3'

So it seems we're missing a dependency on the sqlite USE flag for python3.

Also note the No module named 'requests', since Lollypop still starts without it but can't pull in data from Wikipedia for example maybe it should be a dependency behind a USE flag?
