How to run

Run on Repl.it

  1. Select language: Bash
  2. Configure the run button: gcc game.c -o game -lm -lncurses && "/home/runner/csnake/"game

  • Generate basic game window
  • Add snake movement and collisions
  • Add apple and score
  • Use an array of positions to keep track of snake tail
  • Make snake tail grow proportionally to score
  • Ensure apple never spawns on snake
  • Handle snake tail collision
  • Ensure snake can't go backwards
  • Make snake speed increase proportionally to score
  • Show game instructions and controls
  • Create difficulty levels (slug, worm, python)
  • Allow player to play again
  • Allow player to skip instructions
  • Keep track of high score
  • Add good inline documentation
