As generation command starts to become pretty long, create a simple HTML form to select desired options instead of. Would be far more ergonomic and user-friendly.

Data are downloadable from: http://www.geonames.org/export/

Sample: retrieve official list of cities from INSEE datasource, with lat/long coordinates from GeoCities, linking the both data with a common field (probably the city name).

I am confused, I can find the new regions like Grand Est into the data 😢

I've done this in the past (but can found it): I work with .csv file (sort of raw data) & have a build script which create sql & json version. It will be a good idea, especially toi maintain only one version of the data.

CITY & city are not just enough I think.
Why not add City (uppercase for first word) + accentuated letter (fake e.g. BITUME SUR PETIGNANT, bitume-sur-petignant, => Bitume sur Pétignant )

• What do really represent department_code on the city the entity ? Shouldn't it be a 2 digit number ?
• region_id is referencing the department entity, we should consider renaming it department_id.
